Lifetime is an American pay-TV channel that is part of Lifetime Entertainment Services, a part of A&E Networks, which is simultaneously owned by Hearst Communications and The Walt Disney Company. It features programming that is provided toward women or features women in lead positions. As of January 2016, it is installed by 93.8 million households in America.
Lifetime broadcasts a mix of original broadcast content – which comprise the film, reality ( Dance Moms and Preachers’ Daughters), and dramatic programming ( Devious Maids and Witches of East End) – and second-run regulated series (such as How I Met Your Mother, Grey’s Anatomy). The network says that it “is engaged in offering the highest quality entertainment and information programming and advocating an extended range of matters concerning women and their families.
